Sometimes after a main meal, I have the feeling I want to eat something sweet, but actually I usually do not have the capacity or need to eat anything more!! Chewing gum is the key, sugarless of course!! Now I carry it with me all the time. Its a quick fix to cravings for 'sweet' things and can stall your stomach for a bit when hunger pains kick in. Even better if you chew it after a meal it assists in digestion. My favourite brand are Mentos chewy because they are little like sweets and they even come in green tea flavour! The only drawback is the disposal, but I think you can handle that! Chew away!
